## What the status card says
Open **Website** > **Domain**. Each domain has a card with one of these titles.

- **Waiting on DNS.** The record is not visible yet. Add it, then click **Check again**.
- **Securing HTTPS.** DNS works. yaya is issuing the certificate.
- **HTTPS is ready.** The certificate is done. DNS or publishing is still catching up. Publish your site and check again.
- **Connected.** Visitors reach your published site here.
- **We could not verify this domain.** Setup stopped. Click **Reconnect** to start it again, or **Remove**.

Under the hostname, the **HTTPS** line shows the certificate state in plain words, like `pending validation` or `active`. A domain with no certificate yet shows no line.

While a domain is still being set up, yaya checks again every 15 seconds. Click **Check again** to check now.

## Make the domain primary
1. Wait for **Connected**.
2. Click **Make primary** on the domain's card.

The card then says "This is your site's main address." The button shows only on a connected domain that is not primary yet. A site has one primary domain. Setting a new one replaces the old one.

## Questions
**Why no Make primary button?** The domain is not connected yet, or it is already primary. Only owners see it.

**Can a domain be primary before the site is published?** No. The site has to answer on that name.
