Remove a domain from your site. The domain stays yours. Connect it again later if you want.

## Before you start
- You are a workspace owner.
- Decide where the domain should point next. After removal, visitors no longer reach your site on it.

## Remove the domain
1. Open **Website** > **Domain**.
2. Click **Remove** on the domain's card.
3. Read **Remove this domain?** and click **Remove domain**.

The domain stops pointing at your site. Click **Keep domain** to cancel. You can connect it again later.

Your yourname.yayasite.com address still works.

## Clean up at your provider
Removing it in yaya does not touch your DNS provider. Delete the record you added there if you no longer need it. Keep it if the domain has a different job.

## Fix common problems
**The primary domain was removed.** Make another connected domain primary. See [Check domain status and make it primary](/support/articles/domains/check-domain-status-and-ssl).

**I want to move the registration away.** That is a transfer. See [Transfer a domain out of yaya](/support/articles/domains/transfer-a-domain-out).
