## Before you start
- Login for your old site.
- About 20 minutes for a small site.

## What yaya reads for you
When you paste your old site address into onboarding, yaya reads the public page. It drafts your business description from the business name, the page description and the first paragraphs. When yaya builds your site, it tries to copy up to 8 photos, takes an accent color, and keeps a font when the page names one yaya offers. It does not log in to your old account or copy private pages or customer data.

## Save the rest yourself
1. Open your old site and list every page address in a note.
2. Copy the text of any page yaya did not pick up.
3. Download your images. Use the media library of the old platform if it has one.
4. Export blog posts if the platform offers it. Look for **Export** under settings.
5. Export your customer or subscriber list as a CSV file.
6. Save your logo and brand colors.
7. Take a full screenshot of each page to compare later.

## Bring your contacts in
Open **Customers** in the workspace and use the import. A CSV needs an Email column; First Name, Last Name and Phone Number are optional. See [Customers and leads](/support/articles/customers/customers-and-leads).

## Fix common problems
**The old platform has no export button.** Copy text and images by hand. Most builders allow image downloads from the media library.

**yaya missed a page.** Paste that page address into the description, or add the text in the editor. See [Edit your site](/support/articles/website/edit-your-site).

**The old site asks for a sign-in to view.** yaya only reads pages anyone can open. Copy the About text into the description instead.
