# Unpublish your site

Take your site offline without deleting your draft, and put it back online later.

## Take your site offline
1. Open the **More site actions** menu.
2. Click **Take site offline**.
3. Read the prompt **Take your site offline?**
4. Click **Take offline**.

Visitors see a not-found page at your public link. Your draft stays in the editor. Nothing is deleted.

## Put it back online
1. Open the editor.
2. Click **Publish**.

Your last draft goes live again. It returns to the same address.

## Before you start
- You need permission to publish. If **Take site offline** is missing from the menu, ask the site owner.
