B12 has no website file or code export for another host. Save your content manually before you cancel.

  1. Copy your page and blog text into a document.
  2. Save the images you want from your published website while it is still online. For files you uploaded, keep your original copies.
  3. Export your contacts from the contact manager before you cancel; the export includes form submissions.
  4. Note your integrations, scheduling links and forms so you can rebuild them on your new site.

Move a domain you bought from B12

Domains bought through B12 are registered with IONOS. You own the domain and can keep it at your registrar while connecting it to your new site.

  1. Sign in to the IONOS account created when you bought the domain, or to your existing registrar if you brought your own domain.
  2. Point the domain records at your new website. If you want to change registrars too, start the transfer in your registrar account and follow your new registrar’s instructions.
  3. If B12 holds a legacy domain in its own account, ask hello@b12.io to unlock it and send you the authorization code. Enter that code at your new registrar.
  4. Allow a few days for a registrar transfer. Keep your domain renewal paid and have your new site ready before cancelling B12.

What does yaya read from my B12 website?

yaya reads the public page at the address you paste. It drafts your business description from the business name, the page description, the first paragraphs and any phone or email it finds. When yaya builds your site, it tries to copy up to 8 photos from the page, takes an accent color from it, and keeps a font when the page names one yaya offers. If yaya cannot read the page, nothing is copied. You edit everything before you publish.

Will my B12 website go offline?

No. yaya does not touch your B12 account. Your current site stays live until you point your domain at yaya.

Can I keep my domain?

Yes. Every site gets a free address on yayasite.com, and your own domain connects free at every tier.
