Download your website data

Wix has no full-site export for another host. Save your text and uploaded images separately before you cancel.

1. Open each published page you want to keep.
2. Copy its text into a document.
3. Open the Media Manager.
4. Hover over an uploaded image you want to keep.
5. Open More Actions.
6. Select Download. Repeat for your other uploaded images; Wix stock media cannot be downloaded this way.

Move a domain you bought from Wix

Follow the Wix domain transfer guide for a domain bought through Wix. It must be unlocked and outside any transfer lock before you start.

1. Open Domains in your Wix account.
2. Open Domain Actions beside your domain.
3. Select Transfer away from Wix.
4. Click Transfer Domain.
5. Click I Still Want to Transfer to request the authorization code at the domain’s contact email.
6. Enter that code in your new registrar’s transfer process.

How it works

1. Copy the address. Open your Wix website and copy its address from the browser bar.
2. Import your site. Paste the address into the form on this page and press Import my site.
3. Open your draft. Sign in if asked. yaya continues the transfer. Review your draft when it is ready.
4. Review and publish. yaya drafts the site. Review it, change anything, then publish on a free yayasite.com address.
5. Move your domain. Connect your own domain when you are ready. It connects free at every tier.
