Download your website data

Code export needs a paid Workspace plan; a Site plan alone does not include it. The ZIP includes images, but not CMS or store content. Export collections separately as CSV. Forms and site search will need rebuilding.

  1. Open your site in Webflow.
  2. Click the W logo and choose Code export.
  3. Click Prepare ZIP.
  4. Download the ZIP file.
  5. Keep the images folder with your backup.
  6. If you cannot export code, copy each page’s text and save its images from the published site before you cancel.

Move a domain you bought from Webflow

Webflow is not a registrar. Domains bought through Webflow are registered with IONOS, as explained in Prepare to connect your domain to Webflow.

  1. Sign in to IONOS, or to the registrar where you bought your existing domain.
  2. Once your content is backed up and your new site is ready, remove your domain from Webflow’s Site settings → Publishing → Production.
  3. Wait at least five minutes before verifying your domain on yaya.
  4. Add your domain in yaya’s domain settings to get the records for your new site.
  5. Replace the Webflow website records in your registrar’s DNS settings with the records yaya gives you. Keep your email records.
  6. Check that your domain opens your new site before cancelling Webflow.

How it works

  1. Copy the address. Open your Webflow website and copy its address from the browser bar.
  2. Import your site. Paste the address into the form on this page and press Import my site.
  3. Open your draft. Sign in if asked. yaya continues the transfer. Review your draft when it is ready.
  4. Review and publish. yaya drafts the site. Review it, change anything, then publish on a free yayasite.com address.
  5. Move your domain. Connect your own domain when you are ready. It connects free at every tier.

Common questions

What does yaya read from my Webflow website?

yaya reads the public page at the address you paste. It drafts your business description from the business name, the page description, the first paragraphs and any phone or email it finds. When yaya builds your site, it tries to copy up to 8 photos from the page, takes an accent color from it, and keeps a font when the page names one yaya offers. If yaya cannot read the page, nothing is copied. You edit everything before you publish.

Will my Webflow website go offline?

No. yaya does not touch your Webflow account. Your current site stays live until you point your domain at yaya.

Can I keep my domain?

Yes. Every site gets a free address on yayasite.com, and your own domain connects free at every tier.

What does yaya do after I publish?

yaya keeps working: SEO and GEO content, posts, review asks and follow-ups. Anything that costs money or reaches a customer waits for your approval.
