Download your website data

Blog and store pages are not included in Weebly’s archive. Save their text and images separately. Contact forms and slideshows may not work outside Weebly.

  1. Open your site in the Weebly editor.
  2. Go to Settings → General.
  3. Scroll to Archive.
  4. Enter your email address.
  5. Click Email Archive.
  6. Open the download link in Weebly’s email to save the ZIP file.
  7. Save images from your published pages and keep your original uploads before you cancel.

Move a domain you bought from Weebly

Weebly names Register.com as its registrar in I Have Questions About A Charge From Weebly. Its domain transfer guide warns of a 60-day lock after registration or contact changes; ask support about country-code domains.

  1. Open Domains in your Weebly account.
  2. Click the domain you want to transfer.
  3. Click Disable under Registrar Lock.
  4. Copy the full EPP authorization code shown below.
  5. Enter the code at your new registrar to start the transfer.
  6. To keep your current registrar instead, replace the Weebly website records with the records from yaya’s domain settings. Keep your email records.
  7. Check that your domain opens your new site before cancelling Weebly.

What does yaya read from my Weebly website?

yaya reads the public page at the address you paste. It drafts your business description from the business name, the page description, the first paragraphs and any phone or email it finds. When yaya builds your site, it tries to copy up to 8 photos from the page, takes an accent color from it, and keeps a font when the page names one yaya offers. If yaya cannot read the page, nothing is copied. You edit everything before you publish.

Will my Weebly website go offline?

No. yaya does not touch your Weebly account. Your current site stays live until you point your domain at yaya.

Can I keep my domain?

Yes. Every site gets a free address on yayasite.com, and your own domain connects free at every tier.
