Edit DNS records at Infomaniak
Add the CNAME and TXT records yaya needs in the DNS Zone page of the Infomaniak Manager.

Before you start
- Any plan. Connecting a domain you own is free on every plan.
- An Infomaniak login and a published yaya site.
- The domain uses Infomaniak name servers. Infomaniak says the zone counts only then.
In yaya, open Website > Domain, type the name in Hostname, and click Connect domain. Keep the DNS steps open.
Sign in and find the DNS page
- Sign in to the Infomaniak Manager at
manager.infomaniak.com. - Open the domain management section.
- Click the name of your domain.
- Click DNS Zone in the left menu.
- Read the table in Simple Mode.
In French, the names are Zone DNS and Mode Simple. In German, they are DNS-Zone and Einfache Ansicht.
What the screen calls the fields
- Source is the host. Leave it empty for the bare domain. Type a subdomain such as
wwwfor another name. - Target is the value.
- TTL is the cache time. Keep the default.
In French, the fields are Source, Cible and TTL. In German, they are Quelle, Ziel and TTL.
Infomaniak pages do not mention a final dot. Type the target as yaya shows it.
Add the CNAME record for a subdomain or www
- Click the blue Add entry button.
- Choose CNAME in the list of types.
- Click Next.
- Type
wwwin Source. - Paste the yaya target in Target.
- Keep the default TTL and save.
In French, the button is Ajouter une entrée and then Suivant. In German, it is Eintrag hinzufügen and then Weiter.
Use the bare domain
Infomaniak does not document an ALIAS record. Its ANAME page says an ANAME equals a CNAME on the root of the domain, and that this is not possible.
Use the www plus redirect route. Infomaniak names it as the workaround.
- Connect
www.example.comin yaya and add the CNAME above. - Create a web redirection from the domain root to
wwwin the Manager.
Add the TXT ownership record
yaya shows a name that starts with _cf-custom-hostname..
- Click Add entry, choose TXT, and click Next.
- Type
_cf-custom-hostname.wwwin Source. For the bare domain, type_cf-custom-hostname. - Paste the yaya value in Target.
- Save.
Delete or replace a conflicting record
- Find the old record for the same host in the table.
- Click ⋮ at the right of the row.
- Click Edit to change it, or Delete to remove it. Confirm a delete.
In French, the choices are Modifier and Supprimer. In German, they are Bearbeiten and Löschen.
Check the result in yaya
- Open Website > Domain.
- Click Check again.
Infomaniak says a change can take up to 48 hours.
yaya sets up HTTPS on its own. There is no deploy step. Leave your mail records as they are. See Keep your email working.
Fix common problems
The record has no effect. The domain may use other name servers. Edit the records at that provider.
A record looks wrong. Infomaniak has a DNS diagnostic tool in the Manager.
Still waiting. See Fix a domain that won't verify.
