Check your mail setup

Read the Mail setup panel to see if a mailbox can receive and send.

Before you start

  • You are the workspace owner. Only owners see this panel.
  • You have at least one mailbox.

Read the panel

  1. Click Inbox in the left rail.
  2. Select Mail settings (the gear next to search) to open Mail setup.
  3. Find your mailbox address. Two lines sit under it: Receiving and Sending.

Each line shows one of four states. A Forwarding line appears when you set up forwarding.

  • Ready: it works.
  • Pending: setup is still running. Check again in a few minutes.
  • Failed: something broke. The detail text next to it says what.
  • Unavailable: the state could not be read right now.

Domain rows

If a domain on your workspace is not fully set up, it also shows here with a plain-words status and steps to follow. Examples are "Waiting for domain verification." and "Mail setup is in progress."

yaya hides the panel when you have no mailboxes and no pending domains.

Fix common problems

Receiving is Pending for a long time. Reload the page. If it stays Pending, email support@yaya.page with your mailbox address.

Sending is Failed. Copy the detail text and send it to support@yaya.page.

A domain says verification is waiting. Follow Fix a domain that won't verify.
