Move a domain to yaya

Connect or transfer

Connect keeps the domain at your current registrar and points it at your yaya site. You keep renewals, billing and the login where they are. Connecting works on every plan, including Free, and yaya adds no fee for it.

Transfer moves the registration itself to yaya. It needs a paid plan (Launch or Grow) and costs one more year of registration. See Transfer a domain in to yaya.

Connect your domain

1. Open Website > Domain.
2. Enter the hostname you own, like www.yourshop.com.
3. Click Connect domain.
4. Read the DNS steps yaya shows.
5. Add the record at your DNS provider. See Switch DNS with no downtime.
6. Click Check again until the domain turns active.
7. Click Make primary when you want it as the main address.

Move a yaya-registered domain away

If you registered the domain through yaya, click Transfer out next to it. yaya shows the auth code once. Copy it before you close the box.
