What moves and what does not

yaya reads the public text, headings and image references on your live Hostinger site and drafts a new site from them. Hostinger's builder can export your website files as a ZIP, or export pages, text and images to WordPress. Styles, layout, online store, integrations and forms do not export.

Before you start

  • A Hostinger login and a yaya account.
  • About 30 minutes, plus DNS wait time.

Move your site

  1. Open your site in the Hostinger website builder and click the ellipsis button to open website settings.
  2. Choose Export website files and click Download website files. You get a ZIP.
  3. Save the images you want from the ZIP.
  4. Open yaya and start onboarding. Paste your site address under Already have a website? (optional) and click Import from my site.
  5. Read the description under What does your business do? and fix it.
  6. Pick your business type, location and language, then click Next.
  7. Review the draft, upload your images, and publish. See Publish your site.

Point your domain to yaya

A domain registered at Hostinger can stay there. In hPanel, click DNS in the left sidebar, pick your domain, and edit the records yaya gives you. If you point the whole domain at another service by changing nameservers, Hostinger says DNS management moves with it. Follow Move a domain to yaya.

Keep mail records in place. See Keep your email working.

Fix common problems

The change has not shown up. Hostinger says DNS changes can take up to 24 hours.

Hostinger email broke. You changed nameservers and lost the mail records. Add them back.
